What do you get when you cross a headless chicken, a hoedown, and a heap of outrageous farmyard fun? You get CLUCK! – the brand-new musical comedy from Devon’s Stowaway Theatre. Inspired by the unbelievable true story of Mike the Headless Chicken – who lived for 18 months without a head in 1940’s Colorado – this musical romp is packed with live music, puppetry, audience games, and more chicken puns than you can shake a drumstick at.
The chickens themselves take centre stage, inviting audiences on a wild ride through Mike’s rise to fame. From barnyard ballads to sideshow shenanigans, surreal science lessons to clucking good comedy numbers, CLUCK! promises a hilarious, toe-tapping 45 minutes that will leave audiences of all ages grinning from beak to beak.

Stowaway Theatre is a female led actor-musician theatre company based in Devon.
Formed in 2023 by Lizi Bennett, we create exciting actor-musician theatre inspired by historical true stories that have either been lost, forgotten or just haven't had the platform we think they deserve!
